1987 - Habitat for Humanity (25th & Hadley)
(1st volunteerism project after return to Milwaukee; the other
was tutoring computer lab students at Washington High School)
1988 - Map created & donated to SPCA by Ben
SPCA = Sherman Park Community Association; initially, this
map showed a yellow mark for every For Sale sign within the SPCA
boundaries from 60th to 27th and Capitol Drive to North Avenue. Ben
marked the locations onto the map with the help of a tape recording made
while driving through every street and another set of maps, quadruple the
size of this one, that located the exact addresses on this map that
didn't contain them.
1990 - new house & rehab project
1990 - newly built workbench in new house
Most of the tools and all the pegboard and clips were bought;
the bench wood, legs/framework and drawers were all recycled from the
alleys in our neighborhood;

Another bunch of 10 ~ 12 year olds post their names on the
pole to announce their arrival into the hood.
